I woke up early on the farm. After morning chores and journaling with a yummy cappuccino in a ceramic cup☕️ … I headed to town to teach a Restorative Yoga class at Oxford Community Yoga 🧘🏻♀️
Yoga is a gift 🎁 in a world of constant distraction. We get to spend an entire hour focusing on one thing - our breath💨
Releasing all thoughts of what happened earlier or what needs to get done in the future, we drop fully into the present moment🔥
Quiet the mind, and the soul speaks.🪷
“Be still and know that I AM God.” Psalm 46:10
I cherish the hour of release, letting go of the need to control anything except taking the next giant breath and exhaling slowly while softening any tensions or tightness in the body.
It’s cold outside❄️ so I started my Bronco from an app on my phone. I love living in the future 🌍💫 I dressed in warm comfy clothes, and ended up wearing rainbows on my sweatpants, hoodie, and headband. It felt like it was going to be a colorful day🌈
On the drive to town, I was hopeful that I would see a Hawk (which frequently happens), but I didn’t notice one. I listened to Spotify and did notice that I felt relaxed in my body and gratitude ensued.🫶
Our class was very slow - holding a pose for three minutes in a very passive, softening format.
On the way home, I saw the Hawk🦅 and felt a strong sense of gratitude. ♥️
It’s not easy for me to slow down… to restore. But when I do, there’s always something new to learn. And something magical usually reveals itself on the other side.🌈
Big love,
